Twelve Stones

Perfect for fans of interstellar sci-fi and magical realism, this sweeping speculative thriller follows a military doctor as she tracks a century-old global conspiracy.

After her childhood best friend is mysteriously murdered in Puerto Rico, US Navy Lieutenant Peggy Sue Malavé’s world falls apart. But when she realizes the video file her friend managed to send her only days before his death links a presidential candidate to a ritualistic killing, shock hardens into a furious resolve: She will uncover the tape’s origins and expose the network behind it.

Following the tape to a trail of classified data, she discovers her own bloodline belongs to The Key, a ruthless organization that tracks elemental energy anomalies across the globe, from the mountains of Puerto Rico to Switzerland’s underground particle accelerator complex. Hidden across Earth’s mantle lie ancient zircon stones containing a subatomic black glass origin code—a substance capable of rewriting reality. Partnering with Salomé, a rogue French combat pilot, Peggy embarks on a dangerous odyssey across the Americas to collect the stones and prevent a 12,000-year planetary reset. But the true key to survival—a time travel–enabling biological fail-safe—is coded in Peggy’s own DNA.

Bridging hard physics with deep ancestral lore, this gripping debut thriller explores an alternative human origin story, the geometry of space-time, and the unstoppable power of love.
