Lily's Daughter

A story of good and evil, sight and blindness, death and transformation—Kali’s otherworldly journey may heal her wounds, but first she must reckon with her shattered innocence, her grief, and the soul-damaged person she has become.

When Kali returns to the cabin that she once called home, she is confronted by the memories of her mother, the wounds left by her father, and a presence that seems to have been waiting for her return. As strange occurrences begin to unfold, the boundaries between memory and spirit, past and present, become increasingly difficult to distinguish.

Kali’s struggle is both deeply personal and spiritual as she confronts the demons that have shaped her life and the mysterious forces that now surround her. Annie, her friend and companion, remains close, witnessing Kali’s pain and doing what she can to help, even as the events in the house begin to challenge her own understanding of faith, womanhood, and the nature of God. What begins as an attempt to clear the house and prepare it for sale becomes an unexpected confrontation with the past—and with something neither woman can easily explain.

This is a story of worldly and otherworldly transformation, rooted in grief, memory, and the uneasy territory between the known and the unseen. A dark night of the soul that culminates in profound revelations at dawn: an understanding of God not only as Father, but as Female—as Mother.
