The Average Life of a Teenage Superhero

In this gritty, grounded thriller, a teen vigilante without superpowers learns that the true cost of heroism isn't just physical danger—it’s the heart-wrenching toll of fighting to save a world that is slowly breaking your best friend.

Lisa lives a double life as Nicada, a self-appointed teenage superhero.

While navigating school, family pressures, and her best friend Sugar’s battle with depression, Lisa becomes obsessed with exposing a powerful criminal who has repeatedly escaped prosecution. What begins as amateur vigilantism soon escalates into a dangerous investigation. Determined to uncover the truth and bring a man she believes is responsible for numerous crimes to justice, Lisa finds herself drawn deeper into a world where doing the right thing isn’t always as simple as identifying the bad guy. As the pressure mounts, Lisa must balance the responsibilities of everyday teenage life with the increasingly real consequences of being Nicada. Her choices begin to test her friendships, her judgment, and her understanding of what it actually means to be a hero.

Funny, heartfelt, and grounded in the messy realities of growing up, The Average Life of a Teenage Superhero is a story about friendship, responsibility, mental health, and one teenager discovering that saving the day can be a lot more complicated than it looks.
