Regina and the Knaves

An orphan with a secret life as a thief harnesses all her skills to unlock her magic and save her found family in this debut fantasy adventure that’s City Spies meets The School for Thieves.

By day, thirteen-year-old Regina Fletchley is one of many boarding school students; by night, she is one of Solaris City’s most wanted thieves. As the Prince, she’s built her reputation by breaking into the supposedly impenetrable mansions of the Golden class. Her ultimate prize is her lumencoin—the key to her dormant magic and her last connection to her parents—that’s been gathering dust in the Trooper Corps evidence archives since her parents’ deaths. Each heist has brought her closer to attracting a crew capable of breaching the heavily guarded archives.

Enter the Knaves: the only thieves in Solaris whose reputations eclipse Regina’s own. When a particularly daring break-in finally catches their attention, Regina believes she’s one step closer to reclaiming her birthright. If she can help them pull off an ambitious job, they’ll consider hitting the archives next. But the same heist that impressed the Knaves has brought the Troopers closer than ever to unmasking Regina.

As she struggles to throw them off her scent and prove herself to the crew, her singular focus on her own goals begins to threaten everything she’s built. When her recklessness puts the Knaves in jeopardy, Regina will need to orchestrate her boldest scheme yet to save her newfound family.
