Chasing Phantoms

For fans of Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan Series and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, Chasing Phantoms is the second in the Chase Harlem series featuring suspenseful mysteries set in the heart of New Orleans.

Christmas in New Orleans is supposed to be about twinkling lights, Midnight Mass, and enough eggnog to forget your relatives. For Chase Harlem, it means trying to silence the ghosts in her own head, and pretending she's finally figured out this whole "normal life" thing.

She's got a boyfriend who's somehow managed to stick around, a sharp-witted teenage mentee who keeps finding trouble faster than Chase can stop her, and just enough hope to believe her FBI demons might finally stay buried.

But after solving one high-profile double homicide a year ago, she can’t catch a break. In her building, she discovers the body of one of the tenants, and immediately recognizes the work of a serial killer. Once again, she's profiling a killer, and once again, a killer sets their sights on her.

Amidst the festive glow and shadowed streets of the Crescent City, Chasing Phantoms is a razor-sharp blend of mystery, dark humor, and holiday suspense. Elise Burke Brown delivers another irresistible Chase Harlem adventure that'll keep readers turning pages long after the Christmas lights go out.
