Darkness on the Deep

The second in the Scribe of Lindisfarne series takes scribe Linnet with only a novice monk as her companion off the safety of the Holy Island and to Durham, to discover what they can about a body found in the north aisle of the Priory.

The monks of the Lindisfarne Priory thought their Inspector had journeyed back to the mainland -- but when a body is found in the river near a neighbouring Priory, it seems likely to be his. It's up to the scribe Linnet, along with novice monk Cassian, to unravel who this man actually was, and to do that they'll have to leave the Holy Island and travel to where it all began, Durham.
