Pool Service

Jackie Collins meets Carl Hiaasen in this sexy summer thriller about a pool boy given a chance to exact revenge on the billionaire developer who stole his family’s home.

Jack “Patch” Patchett is a thirty-something, third-generation pool boy born and bred along the remote banks of the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter, Florida. But Patch doesn’t just balance pH and chlorine levels for the rich; his “services” extend beyond the backyards and into the bedrooms of his female clientele.

Sex is the unspoken currency of the job, and business is booming.

That is, until Patch takes on a new client: Harlon Wilde, the private equity billionaire whose ritzy development project, Riverfront Estates, forced Patch’s family off the land they’d lived on for generations. Now, Harlon’s mansion sits exactly where Patch’s childhood home once stood, and Patch is expected to keep the water sparkling for the man who stole everything from him.

But when Patch becomes entangled with Harlon’s dangerously beautiful wife, Vivian, he soon finds himself neck-deep in a revenge plot that offers him a chance to take back everything he’s lost—while testing the limits of his moral code.

A hilarious, titillating adventure that explores greed, capitalism’s impact on nature, and the dark side the American dream, Nick Waters’s exhilarating debut is, quite simply, the most fun you'll have all year.
