Amy Heckerling Presents: Emma

Amy Heckerling, director of the cult classic Clueless, presents Emma, Jane Austen’s witty novel of love, class, and matchmaking mischief.

Emma Woodhouse has never been given reason to doubt herself. Young, wealthy, and adored in the small village of Highbury, she is accustomed to seeing the world arrange itself according to her wishes. So, when the impressionable Harriet Smith enters her circle, Emma sees not just a friend, but a project: someone whose future might be improved with the right guidance…and the right husband.

As Emma attempts to steer Harriet toward a more advantageous match, she unsettles the delicate social balance around her. Only Mr. Knightley, her sharp-eyed family friend, dares to challenge her certainty.
