Chorus of Secrets: A Novel

From USA TODAY bestselling author Eliza Reid comes a gripping mystery steeped in Icelandic atmosphere, where the light never fully fades—and neither do the secrets.

Some secrets echo forever...

Jane Shearer, wife of Canada’s ambassador to Iceland, is excited to be singing with the prestigious Reykjavík Choral Society—until a bright spring evening ends in horror as a body plummets from the tower of the church where they rehearse. In an instant, music gives way to suspicion, and Jane finds herself surrounded by fellow singers who may be hiding far more than imperfect pitch. As a high-profile murder investigation grips the city, Jane is drawn in—partly by her own connection to the victim, partly by loyalty to her friend, rookie cop Jónas Jónasson. But the deeper she digs, the more tangled the truth becomes.

With tensions deepening at home and her teenage son in crisis, Jane must navigate a dangerous line between family and obsession. Is the key to the murder hidden within the choir, buried in Iceland’s tight-knit political circles or locked inside the victim’s own family?
