Worm Is Dead, Long Live Worm

Life carries on after loss in this tender, warmhearted picture book about friends coming together to celebrate the life of their beloved friend.

When Worm dies, the other members of the Soil Club are sad and confused—everything is the same in the world, but without Worm, it feels so different. To give him a proper goodbye, they celebrate Worm’s life and all the wonderful things about him. In commemorating their lost friend, the insect pals discover something surprising—Worm is still with them after all. He’s in the soil beneath their feet and in every growing thing in the garden.

This heartfelt, optimistic story gently introduces young readers to loss, the cycles that connect all living things, and how love for our friends lives on forever.
