Blood of Muses

In a desperate bid to prevent war between the Families and Makers, Ada enters a competition composed of perilous trials in this sequel to the light academia contemporary fantasy Academy of Muses that’s Legendborn meets The Da Vinci Code.

When Ada first infiltrated Maker society to steal their innovations for her family, she never imagined she would become a double agent for the very people she came to betray.

Now Ada is caught between two sides on the brink of war. And her only chance to push for diplomacy is to win a seat on the Maker Council by competing in the Exodus Trials at Avant Academy, the Makers’ elite military school, where blood science and mysticism are practiced—and outsiders are not welcome.

To survive Avant, Ada must continue her fake relationship with their lethally beautiful prince, Rafe. Except it’s starting to feel anything but fake, and she can’t let herself fall for him when she may soon have to betray him. Worse, to maintain her cover with her family, she has to collaborate with the man who just broke her heart. But Michael has always been the one person Ada has struggled to lie to, and the line between hatred and desire has never felt so thin.

Then Ada learns of a prophecy that says she is destined to be the Makers’ destruction instead of their savior. Now she must fight her own destiny as she trains for the deadly trials alongside the two men who have the power to undo her. But it turns out that the dangerous connection between the three of them may be the only thing powerful enough to rewrite fate.
