Below the Tombs

In this sixth installment of David Gordon’s beloved Joe the Bouncer series, mob fixer Joe Brody must navigate a tangled web of crime within New York City’s underground tunnels.

A gang that counterfeits designer purses finds the body of a Hasidic man in the tunnels under Chinatown. Drug cartels from around the world fight over an ancient chalice said to have mystical powers. The Tombs—Manhattan’s historic jail—is torn down. Meanwhile, a notorious sex trafficker, about to stand trial for his horrific crimes, is making other plans.

What do all these have in common? Ex–special forces operative Joe Brody, a.k.a. The Bouncer, is once again called in as the New York underworld's premier fixer. Leading his crew straight into the chaos, he will face gangsters, mercenaries, drug smugglers, cops, Feds, and even ICE agents—along with his own psychological demons and his still-smoldering romance with Special Agent Donna Zamora.

Beneath the Tombs is a heart-racing foray into New York’s criminal underbelly with as many twists, turns, and surprises as the real-life tunnels beneath the city’s streets.
