Poppy Montgomery Gets Serious

Octogenarian online-vigilante Poppy Montgomery finds that love and murder investigations don’t mix well in this clever followup to Poppy Montgomery Gets Even.

Poppy Montgomery has dealt with murderous neighbors before. Now she just wants to enjoy a little peace and quiet with her friends Ginny and Max. But when Poppy’s new neighbor Evelyn—an aging gold digger with an aggressive dog and no shortage of enemies—turns up dead at the bottom of the stairs, peace and quiet become the last things on Poppy’s mind. Poppy and her team of amateur sleuths have plenty of suspects: a shifty dog walker, a vengeful neighbor, and a set of twins running a psychic hustle from their living room. And then there’s Evelyn’s brother, Ron. He's strong and handsome and interested in Poppy. He’s also, inconveniently, connected to every uncomfortable question she's asking about Evelyn's death.

As the family's secrets multiply and the body count threatens to climb, Poppy finds her loyalties pulled in directions she doesn't trust herself to navigate. With lives–and love–on the line, Poppy Montgomery has to get serious.

Cozy and heartwarming without pulling any punches, Poppy Montgomery Gets Serious raises the stakes and doubles the charm.
