Sins of the Fathers

The propulsive, atmospheric launch to a suspense series at the edge of reality.

Kyle Sutherland knows the weight of a split-second decision. A decorated law enforcement officer, he was forced to kill his own partner — a choice that cost him his marriage and sent him spiraling into addiction. Now, desperate for a fresh start, he accepts the position of Police Chief on Summer Island, a picturesque coastal resort nestled between Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi. But beneath the island’s tourist-friendly façade lies a history steeped in blood — one that refuses to stay buried.

Centuries ago, white plantation masters systematically raped enslaved Black women, breeding light-skinned, green- and blue-eyed children destined for the auction block. Those who didn’t meet the desired standards were discarded in unspeakable ways. Today, their descendants live side by side in apparent peace — until old horrors resurface. A grisly string of murders points to a sinister force at work, one tied to the island’s dark past and to practitioners of ancient occult arts seeking retribution. Their weapon of choice: the powerful and unforgiving magic of Caribbean voodoo.

As the body count rises, Kyle finds himself caught between the past and the present, hunted by forces both human and supernatural. With the help of a beautiful Creole doctor and an old, jaded police sergeant, Kyle must stand between a malevolent island and its unsuspecting residents. With his own personal demons still clawing at him, Kyle must uncover the truth before history repeats itself — this time with him as its next casualty.
