Miss Demeanor: The Case of the Clumsy Clown

MISS DEMEANOR - BOOK III

She's thirteen, she's licensed, and she just walked into her most personal case yet.

Celia J. doesn't just read about crime scenes. She works them. With a Junior Technician badge, a stack of business cards, and a cat named Mr. Whiskers waiting at home, she has built a reputation that actual detectives take seriously. That's not nothing, when you're in eighth grade.

This summer, between forensic camp sessions on ballistics and shoe impression casting, Celia's personal life is moving just as fast as her caseload. Her father is falling for someone new. She might be falling for someone too. And a birthday party she almost skipped is about to become the kind of afternoon that ends with police tape.

The clown was hired to do magic tricks. He had other plans.

Celia has the training. She has the instincts. What she doesn't have is much time.

Perfect for fans of Sammy Keyes and the early Enola Holmes novels.
