Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard
To fetch her poor dog a bone

The well-known, rollicking nursery rhyme “Old Mother Hubbard” gets a humorous and luminously illustrated treatment in this engaging read-aloud. Staged like a dramatic Victorian play, Old Mother Hubbard’s quest to feed her dog plays out in beautiful vignettes while other dramas are cleverly hidden in the borders of the page. Young readers will discover something new to love every time they read and will want to revisit the story again and again.
