I Am Judy Garland

Judy Garland, a timeless pop culture icon, has captivated generations with her talent as both an actress and a singer. From her breakthrough role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz to her concert appearances and performances in classic Hollywood musicals, she embodied a unique blend of vulnerability and resilience that continues to capture our hearts. I AmJudy Garland invites fans to experience the story of her lifetime, from 1922 to 1969, through the eyes (and lenses) of those closest to her, in candid photos. This isn’t just another Judy Garland biography; it’s a visual exploration that offers new insight into her journey. Over decades, author Lawrence Schulman has amassed a treasure trove of "phantom" photos, a vast collection that he is bringing together for the first time.
