Foundations of Home

Twelve beautifully designed homes from across the United States and Mexico are woven together like a masterful tapestry—each providing a place for memories to be created and shared.

The home is our first cornerstone set in place. It’s where our earliest memories are made. It’s the scaffolding that we build our lives upon. So often our feelings and memories intersect like the busy highways that we frequently travel. We navigate love, loss, victories, and opportunities missed—all to arrive at this very moment where our foundation reflects the story of our own personal journey and work.

Though the texture of the landscape and the color of nature, interior designer Chad James provides a warmth often described as nostalgic. There is an undertone of masculine moments that are gracefully met by the gentle softness of fabrics and color palettes that Chad has built his life’s work upon.

Through cultivating collections of objects passed down or found, he has mastered combining the past with the present to set the stage for the future.
